UPU 2010/2011 STPM-leaver IPTA Intake Application Results

Posted by Chong

The Star Online reported that June 18 is the date from which students can check to see if they are accepted into local public universities, according to Higher Education Department Director General Datuk Radin Umar.

You can check the IPTA intake application result through Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) website http://upu.mohe.gov.my and for STPM students who fail to get a varsity seat, you can do your appeal application (permohonan rayuan kemasukan ke Institut Pengajian Tinggi Awam, IPTA) via https://upu.mohe.gov.my/erayuanstpm/index.php

Please take note that you can appeal only if you ticked no at accepting course out of your eight choices during IPTA application (permohonan IPTA). The appeal results (keputusan rayuan FASA 1) will most probably out within a week before IPTA orientation week commencing on July 4 this year.

Semakan Keputusan Permohonan Kemasukan Ke IPTA Sesi Akademik 2010/2011 can also be done via the following four links, if the official website is unavailable or too slow to load:

  5. Hi, I'm rather unfamiliar with this blog, and I'm sorry that I can't post this at the Students' Forum as mentioned in the Comment Policy; I couldn't find the link to it. Hopefully this question will be seen and answered soon.

I'm a SPM 09 candidate, and am currently doing f6. However, the IPTA results have been released and I've been accpeted by UPSI Perak for Diploma in English. I'm still hesitating to accept the offer as I'm not sure of my future options with this diploma. Would I be able to apply for private unis or even overseas with this diploma? Or am I limited to public unis only? Also, is it possible for me to further my education in other courses with this diploma? Meaning, that I am able to apply for a course in Journalism, etc? Or am I, again, limited to future courses in teaching and English itself?

Sorry for the whole barage of questions. But I'd really like to be clear on this in order to make a decision. At this point, the future options are what makes me worry. I know that I want English to be part of my future career. At this point, I'm considering teaching, but I am also interested in Journalism. Hence, I'd like to keep my options open.

Hope you all can reply really, really soon. The registration day is next week you see. Thanks. Kudos to the blog too. Cheers.
