Examples of topics are how to become well-rounded students, how to score A in STPM Pengajian Am, ways to make your student life more interesting, tips to write excellent SPM BM karangan, student exchange experience, life as an undergraduate, why the public examinations should/should not be abolished, etc. Do not limit yourselves to the topics mentioned, be creative!

- Your post should be informative, helpful, insightful and/or thought-provoking. They are your tips, experiences or opinions that make a post informative, useful or thought-provoking.

- You post should be original and never-before-published.

2. Email Your Post to Us
Send your post via email with the subject “Submission for Writing Contest” to student [at] malaysia-students [dot] com (replace [at] with @ and [dot] with .) with the following details:
i) Your name or nickname
ii) A short paragraph to introduce yourselves like your age, your location, your education, your job and your interest.
iii) Your blog url (optional)

Closing date: June 22, 2008.

    Well I think the deadline is pretty short, is like 2 weeks or so to prepare, and perhaps too short for publicity period?
    I think if make it end of June or early July will be better.

  2. Did consider for a longer contest duration but finally decided a shorter one as this is our first writing contest and thus I am still a little bit clueless on how great the response from the readers.

    Most of us don't take more than a week to write an informative, helpful and thought-provoking post, do we?

    Also, there are four prizes to be given away so I believe if there are less submissions, participants will stand a higher chance to be the winners. This is good consider the objective of the writing contest is really to reward loyal readers, as simple as that. ;-)

    At the beginning, I have 2 topics which I could not decided which to write on so I thought I will write both. But now that I am working on one, I think I wouldn't have enough time to write 2 topics... arrgg...
